"Native Son", portrait of Texas Governor by Vonnie Kohn, presented to Museum

January, 2011, Vonnie Kohn was featured in Parker County Today (a monthly magazine whose founder & editors were part of the Ft. Worth Star Telegram), in an interesting article entitled "Native Son." It described the portrait of S. W. T. Lanham, former governor of Texas during the years of 1902-07. As a statesman, he was responsible for many laws that shaped the state of Texas. He was also on the board which established the University of Texas.

The Weatherford, Tx. chapter the Sons of Confederate Veterans commissioned a 24 x 30" portrait which was presented to the Doss Heritage & Culture Center on January 25, 2011. Doss Heritage & Culture Center is a  museum featuring the history of Weatherford and Parker County, the cutting horse capital of the world...west of  Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas.
