Since I was young, I have always sought out nature for its calming affect and beauty. I venture out frequently to paint on location in my picturesque province of Nova Scotia.
Painting in nature has greatly informed and pushed my paintings to a higher skill and emotional level. I love painting on location and write personal reflections

Besides painting nature, I love to paint still life from life in my studio. All my work is painted from life in order to capture the essence of my subject. Recently, I began painting miniature oil paintings on linen/board. These have a personal quality due to their delicate size.
